Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum dependant on experience (non-negotiable)
Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Annual Leave: 30 days plus 4 paid closure days and bank holidays
Pension Contributions: 10% employer contributions
Family Support: Enhanced maternity/parental leave and paid compassionate leave
Flexible Working: Hybrid setup with minimal office attendance, full-time (35 hours).
JOB DESCIPTION
As an Assessment Researcher, you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering our workforce, ensuring that our research continues to have a meaningful global impact. You’ll focus on a range of activities on a number of different mathematics assessment projects (covering secondary and primary phases); including writing content (questions and tasks) for paper-based and computer-based assessments
Key responsibilities:
To lead on particular aspects of work as required
To contribute to the wider assessment and research activities of the Department
To contribute to business development and proposal writing
Assessment project work
Non-project work
PERSON SPECIFCATION
Essential skills and experience:
First degree or equivalent in mathematics*
Basic relevant knowledge and skills in assessment / research
Knowledge of the basic principles of project management
Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines
Experience of work in UK schools
Good organisational and communication skills
Willingness to, occasionally, undertake work overseas for short periods
*We will consider a related subject if it is combined with experience of teaching mathematics up to higher level GCSE.
