We’re looking for a driven and strategic Marketing Manager to lead campaigns for our new and exciting digital product suite at NFER. This is your opportunity to join a well-respected charity lead purposeful campaigns for trusted products that support schools.

Salary: £42,095–£47,378 per annum (non-negotiable)
Annual Leave: 30 days plus 4 paid closure days plus bank holidays
Pension Contributions: 10% employer contributions
Family Support: Enhanced maternity/parental leave and paid compassionate leave
Flexible Working: Hybrid setup with 1 day a month in Slough office, full-time (35 hours) open to flexible working including compressed hours or 4 day working week.

JOB DESCIPTION
As our new Marketing Manager, you’ll lead on the design and delivery of marketing and sales strategies for our growing portfolio of products, including online assessments - a new addition to our well-established offer to schools.

You’ll take a strategic approach to campaign planning, using customer insight and market intelligence to shape every stage of the customer journey. From lead generation and sales to retention and customer centric experiences, you’ll help drive awareness, engagement and impact.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across product, development, digital, and assessment teams, as well as with external suppliers, to ensure high-quality campaigns are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

Success measures:
• Integrated and costed marketing plans developed for NFER products, informed by audience insight and market intelligence.
• Inbound and outbound sales and marketing activities delivered on time and within budget, either directly or via external suppliers.
• Product marketing KPIs met — including lead generation, product sales and return on investment (ROI).
• Regular reporting on product sales and marketing performance, with action taken to address underperformance.
• The assessment product environment in schools is actively monitored, with regular reporting on developments and competitor activity.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills and experience:
• Proven experience delivering full marketing campaigns across the product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated marketing, including SEO, paid media, and content.
• Ability to develop persuasive messaging and manage external suppliers.
• Experience using CMS platforms and email marketing tools.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Creative, proactive, and results-driven with a high attention to detail.
• Willing to travel to Slough one day a month for team collaboration.
