Are you a Maths or English expert with some experience in eAssessment, test development, educational measurement, applied statistics or teaching? Looking for a place where you can put your heart, soul and skills into making a difference?
NFER is a leading educational research charity and as part of a Digital Transformation Programme we are enhancing our e-assessment capability. We have a long standing and market leading reputation in Assessment spanning more than 70 years. Our teams are some of the country’s leading technical assessment experts and psychometricians who are now turning their attention to further development of our e-assessment capability.
Joining the Digital Transformation Programme, as either a Math or English specialist, you will write, author and develop NFER’s assessment items, tests and assessments, predominantly for the assessment of 7-11 year olds within primary education. You will contribute to the design of on-screen assessment interactions, diagnostic reporting relevant to classroom practice and develop supporting materials and guidance for teachers and learners.
You will be part of the wider research and assessment community within NFER. This will mean drawing upon the vast range experience and expertise from colleagues when required. As part of a collaborative organisation, you’ll work with colleagues to ensure that the digital assessments are of the correct level of demand and of the high-quality that customers have come to expect of NFER products.
With a genuine interest in helping to improve outcomes for children and young people you will also have the following:
• A degree in an English or Maths subject.
• Knowledge and understanding of the assessment and curriculum of Maths or English, ideally for 7-11 year olds or GCSE level.
• Experience of working in an educational, assessment or EdTech environment.
• Some experience in the development of items, tests and assessments.
