We do this by creating and sharing research evidence and insights on education policy and practice, informing policymakers and other key decision makers, and strengthening practice in the classroom.
As our Senior Knowledge and Analysis Manager you’ll play a key role in ensuring NFER’s continued success and supporting the growth of our UK and international portfolio of work, through a range of internal activities to support and promote policy, research and market understanding across our business development and organisational strategy.
By identifying, collating, summarising, synthesising or analysing market, policy and research intelligence, and internal bids intelligence and data, you’ll keep NFER informed, influencing our business development and strategy development, and supporting senior managers to understand how we are performing against our income targets. By actively managing our strategy to identify appropriate contracts and funding opportunities, you’ll help us to secure funding for UK and international research and assessment projects that will make an impact.
Requirements
• experience in an academic, research, commercial or policy related knowledge, information, data or library service or similar
• experience of using knowledge and analysis to shape and inform activities, and formulate insights and recommendations, particularly for strategy and business development
• strong track record of desk research work and/or experience of providing succinct, well-written policy- and/or research- and/or market- focussed briefings or current awareness bulletins
• strong track record of designing, producing and/or quality assuring analytical outputs and managing data
• highly numerate with advanced Excel skills
