As the Finance Business Partner, you will support the work of the foundation by working with the business to enable the use of financial information and analysis in decision making and business performance management.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams, providing management information and financial advice to support planning, bidding, project management, and strengthening our business performance.
This is a new role for the Foundation, and we are looking for someone to help develop and shape how the finance team supports the business.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Partnering with bid teams from the outset on large/complex bids to support the development of the financial proposition and pricing
- Managing the preparation of NFER’s annual budget by contributing financial analysis to inform in-year and longer-range income segment target setting
- Providing timely, accurate information, leading preparation and reporting of performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for the three income segments and team, project and programme management
- Acting as a trusted business partner to the Foundation, sharing insights and information with colleagues and participating in departments’ meetings and events
- Directly contributing to preparing financial proposals for complex and high-value bids for UK Assessment, UK Research and Evaluation and International Reform
