Research Associate - Statistics in Education

As an Associate you will work alongside our highly skilled and influential specialist teams, working on front-line research and assessment within the UK and abroad. Being an Associate is not a guarantee of work, but it means that we will contact you when opportunities arise to support our team.

A bit about the Stats team …
Our highly specialised and technical team works across NFER developing its statistical and quantitative capabilities in relation to assessing and measuring the impact of policy and/or programme delivery across education. With a growing portfolio of work we continually develop our understanding of statistical methods by investigating alternative techniques used by academics and other research organisations to ensure NFER is cutting edge.

We are looking for Associates who are very capable of carrying out high quality complex statistical analyses. You may have a background in RCT and QED methodologies, with a portfolio of manipulating data within an educational context. Ideally, you are skilled in R and proposal writing.

Through developing strong and lasting relationships with our Associates we offer carefully matched opportunities, within supportive and progressive teams. We offer short to longer-term contracts, working across a range of disciplines and thematic areas both in the UK and internationally.

Rates for work vary depending on the project.
