If so, join NFER’s team of Social Research Managers working with schools to trial and evaluate interventions in teaching practises to improve the outcomes for children.

As a Social Research Manager with us, you’ll use research methods to build NFER's influence in the UK policy environment, developing strong client relationships, and designing research to broaden NFER's reach and impact.
You’ll working alongside colleagues to proactively identify research opportunities to propose to funders of research and to develop proposals as part of competitive commissioning.
You’ll support Project Directors in managing research projects (mixed methods) across the Foundation, including: research design, proposal writing, pitching; conducting research, producing research reports and sharing findings and supporting with managing project teams, their time and project budgets.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent post-graduate qualification in a relevant area or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of social science methodologies and appropriate analytical approaches
- Experience of conducting process evaluations utilising qualitative methodologies
- Experience of successfully managing areas of project work/small projects
- Experience of design and delivery of survey research and secondary analysis of data
- Experience of working on projects, from formation of idea to final report and of working with other researchers and statisticians within project teams
